FL sizing without bumping the shoulder??

OK. Seing as I don't want to touch the shoulder I may as well turn it out a full turn and size the body of the case a little less also.

When I'm in need of a bump on the shoulder I will try and turn the die in incriments until they chamber without resistance.(as per Cleftwynd)

Thanks

If you don't touch the shoulder then by sizing the body it will push the shoulder up further like squeezing a tube of toothpaste at the base.

I guess the first question wod be to ask if you are equipped to measure headspace?

Thanks for answering my question. I like the analogy of the toothpaste and No I am not able to measure headspace. I may just use feeler gauges and set the die up a hair off the shell holder and make sure they chamber. ultimately I have to ask myself how much work I want to put into saving brass when in reality I will probably find more range brass than my buddy will go through.

Thanks for all the info. I feel a little more educated.
