Is this rifle worth much? The barrel is stamped "Bohler Stahl Made in Austria" but I don't see any other "maker" mark. Is it a custom built rifle? The stock is a bit bush wacked but looks like a nice rifle generally. Google didn't have very much info in English.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bohler is a steel ( stahl) manufacturer. Looks like a typical Austrian sporter built on a surplus Mauser 98 action. Might be assembled by Voere, but their name should be on it somewhere. Certainly not worth a premium, but probably a decent shooter. Pics of the whole rifle including the "bush wacked" stock would help place an approximate value.

Like Longwalker said, Bohler is a respected name in steel making in Germany. You see WW2 K98k's with barrel codes beginning in Bo which denotes Bohler as the maker. They make decent knives as well. Yours has 1970 nitro proofs so it was made in that year. Without more pics it is probably worth around $500, give or take. My 2 cents.

The safety at least is off a captured Polish Wz 29. When the Polish Radom factory was captured by the Wehrmacht, much of the WZ29 production and components were sent off to Steyr in Austria to be completed into G. 29/40 rifles for German Armed Forces use.

Price wise I think it's in the same category as a Nice Parker Hale, about $500.

So...don't ask why because I have no bloody idea what I was doin when I was looking at the rifle but, the makers mark is stamped in plain view on the top of the barrel, right in front of where the scope was sitting. I think a blind man would have done a better job checking for marks.

The rifle is Flaig Custom built on a Mauser action with Austrian proofs on barrel and receiver. Limited info on Google puts him as a highly experienced and maker of high quality hunting & bench rifles.

Would anyone have an idea of value for this rifle now we know the maker, if there's any difference from the original quotes?
