Flame thrower? Restricted or non restricted

^^^you must have a huge pile of weeds to require one of those things, you wouldn't have much use for your lawnmower afterwards.:)

Neither. Its for sure prohibited in Canada.

They use propane flame throwers all the time when they are working on roads in the wintertime and patching tar roofs

You just have to call it a "roadwork torch" and you're good to go

(Just like "Patrol Carbines" aren't "assault rifles")

Hey guys read an article in ballistic..."health canada has determined that the xm42 or similar products are a danger to human health and safety and are prohibited in canada under section 7a of the CCPSA"

But you can't believe everything you read now a days :p

Stupid health canada

I have seen the real things in action ( a machine gun shoot ) there are awe Inspiring in a terrifying way !! We were over 100 yards a way ( Parallel to it) and you could really feel the heat !! They have noise its all there own . It was real cool to see it but kinda put me off on the cool factor . Especially when you remember what they were designed for ! The guy that had it , befor he used it ,had a bunch of people that were lined up that were willing to pay to try it , not to many were left afterwards. He was talking and said that he hated using it ( something about strapping three gallons of fuel to your back under 300 psi and not knowing if and when it would hold together ) and would have a hard time selling it for fear that someone would get kill with it ! Ya play with fire ya gonna get burnt !!
So a flame thrower for me is a last choice tool and in no way considered a toy ! And yes I have been burned ! Its not something you forget easily !

A buddy of mine built one out of a dewatted German WWII model.
