"Flare" launcher

I saw one here in the Powderkeg in Kamloops. Cobray launcher that mounts onto an AR as well as some flares. Can't remember what they were asking for it though.
 
Questar had them on sale for around $380 for the short model which mounted on the rail and they have the stand alone model as well.
 
What about ammo? Do they have paraflares or just the regular star flares and smoke... what about bear bangers.

I know you can get the adaptor for 12.5 (I think) and does anybody have a good idea of the cost of ammo?

You can buy 12 gauge bear bangers (i think they are about 25 bucks for a 5-pack), and then a 12 gauge shotshell adaptor for the 37mm launchers. Questar sells them as well IIRC.

I would NOT fire any normal 12 gauge ammo in one of those units though, since they are aluminum, it could blow up the launcher.

Just for shotgun shell flares, bear bangers etc... stuff like that.

ETA

The bear bangers wont cycle my Benelli, and have zero recoil, so im guessing they are safe for the 37mm shotshell daptors.
