flash bang ammo for 12 ga

where can I get some? I checked the Le BAron catalog, its not listed
is it legal?
I plan on camping in some bear woods but I dont want to carry hunting ammo with me just in case CO would make a big deal out of it, but if I have to I guess I will

I assume your talking blanks? Get in contact with a retriever training club in your area. I don't use them anymore , but winchester used to make what was called "popper" loads that give a pretty good bang, for retriever training.

the proper term is bearbangers, Ive seen them used at airports to scare away birds, and in Rockies to chase the bears away from hiways, you shout, the "granade" flies away and then goes Bang! right over head of a bear

Can you shoot bear bangers out of a 12 gauge flare pistol? If so, that would make a hell of a handy setup.

I wouldn't want to be dependent solely on scare cartridges, but crackers followed up with rubber bullets can be quite effective. I would still have a pack of slugs available in case things went south.
