Hi guys,
Intro: I have a XCR barrel in 7,62x39. I took off the brake and will get it threaded like an AR-15. I also have a Vortex/Dlask .223 FH to install on it. I don't have it with me but the FH bore is about .33".
Situation: leaving the bore at the barrel crown, the bullet allow gases to pass around it. FH made for .270 and .30 calibers have a larger bore than .33".
Questions: How much effect a FH can have on accuracy?
Is there some guidelines on clearance for this or should a guy test various FH bore sizes to figure the best combo?
