Got my new Kel-Tec in the mail this week (thanks Prairie Gun Traders!), and while I'm already itching to get it to the range, I see it's screaming for something. Like a flash hider. Reviews I've seen mention a tapered barrel, but this newer version seems to have some differences.

The barrel is machined level front to back, no taper. The front sight seems to be a polymer version of the AR-15 front sight, and adjusts the same. Ahead of that sight is about a half inch of plain barrel. Threaded, should be enough for a flash hider.

My micrometer battery was dead, but the measurement I read was 13.5mm OD, conversion takes it to 35/64" or .53149 inches.

My machining days are long in the past; a 1/2" 28 tpi die should work here, correct?

Sweet. Time for some more shopping. It'll be interesting to see how well it shoots, and what I can do to make it shoot better.

On a side note, got my LAR-15 mags in yesterday. After loading them up, I'm a bit worried about feed issues. My ammo seems to want to catch on the front of the mag. Is this common? Seems like a little file work should fix it if needed.
