They forgot to mention the Vortex "opens up" under heavy use.

That was years ago when SEI determined they screwed up the heat treatment. That must be over 10 years ago, with their "straight" prongs model.

The only advantage the surefire has over SEI and Black out is that it has very little tuning fork effect. Don't know about the BE Meyer though.

Well for what it's worth, I ended up with a surefire SF3P that I got from the EE.
Would've gone with the warcomp just to try it out but you can't pass up on a good deal.
