Let's see what type of flash-hider or muzzlebrake you have on your M14 rifles ... let's hear about function, noise, etc on them. I'm doing a M14 shorty build and not sure what to go with for mine. I'm liking the AT15 that a fellow CGNer's got from ATRS, I'm liking the SureFire muzzlebrake and just watched a video on it function ... it's sweet! I currently have a few flash-hiders to choose from ... but thinking a brake is in order for my build. POST YOUR PICS please ... :D

Here's my SMITH ENT muzzlebrake on my shorty Norky ... it works great as there is hardly any kick. Also here is my Springfield flash-hider with no bayo lug ... which I'll be changing to my USGI one with bayo lug.

This is a brake made by Leo Cormier. I have just put it on and haven't really gotten to hammer a bunch of rounds out yet, but I will be soon. I have a couple friends who use it and they like it alot. I can elaborate more when I get out of the house and give it a try.

Yes it is ... I sent them an e-mail asking about shipping over the border if possible ... I WANT ONE after watching their video on it.

Consider the Smith Enterprises manufactured 'Good Iron' muzzle brake as well in your shortlist. I have fired with it extensively, but unfortunately do not own one yet.

I found that a 22" rifle equipped with it to be exceptionally soft shooting which allowed for much faster follow-on shots. The blast deflection for bystanders is impressive but not as uncomfortable as that of an SVT40. I assume that the dissipation would be similar in a 'shorty' with a touch more pronounced deflection. The build quality was top notch and the parkerizing was almost a complete match for the Norc parkerizing.

I simply have a USGI flash suppressor on mine now and probably going to keep it that way , im not really a fan of muzzle breaks . Plus im addicted to the nice ring the USGI flash sup adds to my rifle lol.
