So I know there's another flash hider thread right now, but thats really about compensators.
I'm looking at something to put on a Tavor. So yes, I will be shooting in lower light out in the bush, through a magnified scope. I don't want my image to get washed out. I'm not worried about "keeping pressure" or "increasing pressure" or anything like that, because I'll have the full 18 inch barrel, but it will be closer to my face than an AR.
I have to agree with Greentips regarding the muzzle pimples recently. The SPEX or Alberta Tactical units, while very effective, just aren't my cup of tea. I'm much more interested in the AAC style flash-hiders and other styles closer to the original A2 hider. (AAC makes the vortex style correct? they're one and the same? I'm pretty sure that's right.)
I'm curious if anyone has had experience with the VLTOR flash hider. It's also slim, looking sort of like a birdcage, but advertises itself as a compensator and flash-hider.
Does it still eliminate flash as well as a vortex setup? Any advice would be super.
