Flash hole uniformer

What's everyone use? Is it one size fits all or are there different sizes for say rifle and pistol cartridges? Thanks in advance.

I use the lyman universal, does both large and small primed cases as the flash hole is the same size.

Years ago I fell into the RCBS trap and soon found out that I had to buy a pilot for every caliber which was almost the price of the initial flash hole trimmer with a pilot.

Lapua and Norma use a smaller flashhole and your going to have to order one from sinclair, you should also know this prior to ordering one.

Flash hole Deburing tools are usually the same diameter. Some Euro brands of brass have smaller holes and you can't use say a Lyman tool on them. Lapua and other premium Euro brass have drilled flash holes not punched like most brass so there is not as much a need to debur the inside of the hole but I believe as mentioned above you can get one that fits from Sinclair Intl.

Primer pocket uniforming is the same deal. Some brands pockets are more square or deep enough a uniformer won't touch them. Most will benefit from a little run on one.

I use a k and m precision uniformer. Never used anything else so I don't know hot it stacks up against others but I like it.

Made my own, I think it is a #2 center drill and drill rod adapted to a handle and a tapered stop. Similar to Lyman unit.

Since Norma uses a smaller flash hole, how much difference does it make to open it up to American standards? Is there any advantage? I have some Browning brass, supposedly made by Norma and only a slight effort was required to push the tip into the hole and ream.

I'm using the Sinclair Gen II...easy to use, and works well. As others have said, it's the only one I've used, so I really have nothing to compare it too

The sinclair is a universal, but won't work with stuff smaller than .22
