I recently purchased a flashlight mount and flashlight off of ebay and received it yesterday. I have a Stevens Model 350 shotgun and when I was installing the flashlight mount on the shotgun it doesn't fit on the magazine tube because of lack of room. I instead installed the flash light mount right on the barrel of the shotgun. I was trying to do some research online if anyone else has dont this but I can't seem to find anyone. I was just wondering if this was safe to do and if there is anything wrong with this?

this is what the mount sort of looks like

i have the same light and had the same problem. the mount wouldent fit the mag tube of my hatsan. i put the light mount on the barrel with the light slightly off set to the side.
shouldent be a problem. what you wanna do is tighen it and shoot it then check the bolts to make sure they are not loosening. its the same when you use a heat shield its right on the barrel just check it once in awile.

Perfect! Thanks

Don't forget some blue locktite! Helps keep them things from getting loose on ya.

PS: I have that same flashlight, and this year it has started to act up. I'm guessing it's the bulb.. But, it's worked well for 4 years and numerous times mounted on the SG.
