Anyone know if someone has flash suppessors available in Canada? Looking for aftermarket ones like Vortek, etc. for the M14. Threading is not a problem as a new one will be cut after the barrel is shortened, so we can match it to whatever fs is purchased.

While I'm here, how about scout mount rails also.

Cheers.

GGFB has just what you are looking for.

Check out the EE forums under Parts and Pieces

Back in 2002 before the OIF begain in March 2003, we could import a whack of flash hiders (USGI ones) with the bayonet lug for around $ 40 USD from Numrich. Now the M14 related goodies are subject to US State Dept paperwork. bummer.

Yes, they were the good old days....

Because I can! :dancingbanana:
also because you can hang old knifie m6 on the bottom and use it to stick things- not really a use for a rifle, but it does beat a spear if you don't throw it

Why does one change the flash suppressor? I have have no idea why.

Because I'm chopping the barrel to make one of my Norcs (I bought three!!! My #### just felt funny instead of falling off!!) a CQB and I don't want the long, original type of flash hider. I'll be cutting new threads, so it really doesn't matter the type, as long as there's enough barrel diameter to do it.

Does anyone know, when Jeff at VGS does the 18.5" barrel chop on a M305, does he use a modified 5.56mm Vortex?
