my norinco m14 flashhider was loose, i had it removed, shot without it, question is will it affect the accuracy?? this rifle still new, had less than 100 round . with various ammo , so i still can't establish what is the normal accuracy for this rifle, at 100 yd. with 4 power scope, bench rested, over 5 " for 5 shots group!!

Most of the Norc M14's will group into 2" at 100 yds/meters. Removing the FS should not be a detriment to the existing accuracy. 5" groups by 5 shots is quite large. Any more details ? Care to elaborate ?

tk norinc is pretty well stock, only upgrade is a usgi fg stock and a alloy scope mount , ss guide rod from Marstar, scope is 4200 bushnell tactical, which weighted over 2.4 lbs. first i thought the weigh was the problem, flexing the alloy mount cause it not returning to zero, later that i replaced it with a bushnell banner which weight less than one lb. test with S.A. ammo. grouping still fairly large,
could the alloy mount cause the problem??
don't know what else to try without getting a mortgage :bangHead:

got this mount from marstar, had it for about 2 mon. cost about $80+ , wonder how is their return policy?
p/s also read that people are happy with their marstar mount  and they have n/p
i need to get a S/A mount or something.

i would very much doubt if you see an improvement with the springfield mount unless there's a change of the thickness of the mount or something- if it's a TRUE CLONE , the springfield 3rd generation is also ALUMINUM and you should DO SOME RESEARCH as the same complaints apply- some of these have been SOLVED WITH A HAMMER-says so right on the SPRINGFIELD site- you're far better served with a ARMS or something- granted, they're PRICEY, but this is the only way to solve this KNOWN problem- p/s i have the 3rd generation spring, as well as a 2nd ( the difference is the aft screw mting point)

You lucky bastard. I wish my flash hider was loose. I had to cut mine off when I swapped barrels because one of the welds was so deep. Now I need to find another one.

Having said that, I'm sure you'll get better accuracy without one, so send it to me.;)
