Flashlight forend for DA grizzlys?

Hey! I bought one off you a long time ago!
Instead of being stuck with a crap forend light I modified it and it works just fine.
To the OP, if you get one you have to replace the bulb as the original bulb is useless. I put a $10 Cree bulb in from deal extreme and it's blinding plus holding up to the recoil.
Secondly you have to "angle grind" a cut in the light so the screw will actually hold the light from flying out when you shoot the shotgun.

Interesting, any specs/ model on the bulb (so I can look it up)?
What kind of battery configuration do you have running it?
Here is the original thread back in 2009. Not sure what the lumens are but I have a Streamlight TLR-2 and it's easily just as bright.

I should update that thread. I have shot hundreds of rounds through the shotgun and it's still working.
Here is a recent picture of it except now I have that rear sight off...
I thought those forends were out of stock for a long time already and might not available again unless CanAm bring them in.
I don't know. I bought mine off of Badboybeeson in early 2009.

yes i remmber now and the 3hrs i spent making it fiti think i still have one or 2 of them in my shop

Well I don't regret buying it and still have it on the shotgun. I hope that helps as you didn't do the work for nothing.
This might be as close as you can get.
It will only stick out a little bit out the front on a 12.5" barrel.
Or you can get a fab defense forend with a fab defense PLS-1" flashlight mount and a Fenix TK11 flashlight.

Rather than start a new thread, figured I'd reanimate this one. I have a question about the empty space in the tubular mag on the box-mag fed Dominion Arms Grizzlies. That seems like "wasted space" to me, and I was wondering if anybody had any info on getting a flashlight or laser installed in the otherwise unused tube? E.g. replace the mag-cap with a flashlight or something?
I know that the Chinese company "Famous Maker" has some Remington 870 mag-cap accessories for a laser and flashlight. Some US retailers have them, but I've not seen anything for sale in Canada. I figure that Canadaammo or any of the other Dominion Arms retailers who sell the detachable magazine fed Grizzlies could make a fair penny selling an option that uses the otherwise empty space!
