Flashlight on rifle while hunting.

Mine is about 50/50. It’s narrowed a bit but the Picatinny grooves are still in it, so there is lots for the bedding to grab.

Another diy in a pinch would be using one of those Weaver rails that mount to a sling swivel, allows a picatinny mounted bipod to be used. A cheap 1” QD ring and flashlight and you have a light mounted to the underside of the forearm that easily removes.

Just have a rail mounted on your forend. The light attaches in 2 seconds with a lever. Keep it in your pack when you’re hunting.

It’s real handy for packing meat out in the dark (in addition to your head lamp) as well as bumps in the night. Not sure if any of you have tried shooting a high powered rifle at night with a head lamp but it doesn’t work very well.

This is a superb set up, must not weight much either.

Both epoxy bedded and screwed in. That’s a friends rifle but I have one done by the same smith in the same (brown precision) stock.

Hmmmm… that rifle there that belongs to your buddy, that wouldn’t happen to be chambered in 9.3x 62 would it?

Figured I might’ve recognized it, lol.
Definitely an accurate rifle, and pleasant to shoot.
The light setup is pretty slick for sure.
