Flashlight sticks out slightly farther than muzzle

Hi all i mounted a fab defense light on my 870 Remington with a gg&g Remington 870 mount. My question is with a 14in barrel the light sticks out a bit farther than the muzzle, is that ok or will the blast eventually ruin the light? Should I be looking for a different mount?

How much farther does it stick past the muzzle?

I wouldn't worry about it if it's just a bit past, If you google the 870 surefire forend and see it on a 12.5-14" barrelled 12g you'll see the light sits past the muzzle. You might have to clean it now and again.

Only like a quarter inch, maybe it is just fine, could be i am just paranoid

I have seen magazine extensions WELL past the end of the barrel....ridiculously so in fact.

You'll be fine,just might need to wipe it off every now and then

I'd be more concerned about the recoil ruining the light more so than muzzle blast. I can't speak to the quality and durability of fab defense, but I know my surefires have never failed me on various firearms.
