Naw, they're mostly a .22/air gun scope company. Maybe a lower end rifle scope if you wanted it to be.
dpopl8r, good guess but that scope isn't a mark 4, the give away is the turrets and placement of the illumination adjustment.
the mark 4 turrets are an inch high or so, with the markings clearly visable.
which is the same reason i dont think its a night force

Saw the show. The shooter, I believe was using a Leupold Mark 2 4-12 x 40 with AO
Thought I figured it was a Mark 2 with target turrets as per post......
Anyone see it last night? That guy made a hell of a shot with out closing the bolt of his rifle!!! the bolt handle was up in everyshot, including the one where he fired....

I've actually talked to the AD`s of the show and the props department. Very pleasant lady to deal with. Wanted to know about uniforms and equipment - tried to convince her not to do certain things.
Gave her some advice about looking correct when they`re doing some stuff. Guess it went in one ear and out the other. Guess my 14 years in the real army wasn`t good enough for em!
Ah well - alright show for what it is. I`d rather see it like it is than another cookie cutter US Swat team show.

A simmons scope, IMHO is for entry level, once a year, deer hunters, who wish not to spend more cash on optics.

Even if there was a TD on site doesn't mean it will end up looking correct on the screen. They get overridden all the time. *cough* tears of the sun *cough*There's only a few directors I can think of that are interested in accuracy (Michael Mann, Oliver Stone, and Spielberg come to mind). I don't know how many times I've been told to put things into shots that are completely fake and just plain dumb. I try to convince them that their target audience notices these things, but at the end of the day the dude in the chair calls the shots.
Rem. 700 yes i'd agree there but scope doesn't have the turrets that my N/F scopes have, doesn't have the Gold Leupold ring around the front BUT it does look alot like the Bushnell Tactical I have on the AR. Pretty lousy picture to try and see detail in though.
My Bro in law works security for the sets sometimes i'll ask him if he can get a look at it and ask.
