In my experience Flint ignition has proven to be more reliable than percussion with the two rifles that I have.
The thing with Flint is that it either works or it doesn't.... if it fails to ignite the charge then you have to fix it.
I find trying to figure out why a percussion rifle fails to fire is more difficult and as a result I like my Flinter a lot.
