My test run at making one turned into a gooey mess when the glue wouldn't harden so it was back to the Pachmayer for me.
More money maybe but less hassle...
1. What did you use to glue the two pcs of rubber together?
2. Any different method to glue onto wood?
We use a heavy foam rubber for fixing vacuum boxes at work and have lots of scrap pcs laying around that could be used for this application. Most is 1" thick.
Waterbased contact cement "should" work...
WN used acraglass in the OP.
You need to get some orange ones so you can make a pad for the flamer......
How do they handle sitting in a safe? Do they compress on the heel?
I'm tempted to build another ultralight - just to try one of these pads. Problem is I don't need another ultralight, I just enjoy a fun project....
I only bought them because of the built-in pitch to the pad.
See, Davey, you got me so excited, I posted this twice!!!!

Hahaha, ya right Ted!
