Ok, so I'm an "operator" on a shoestring.
This rifle is not meant for the sandbox, but will certainly be required for mirror poses and may be required for zombies.

So far the setup:
-Stock Norc M4.
-Bushnell Holosight (I have yet to cover up the logo with black electrical tape).

I am planning on getting a Yankee Hill YHM-9680 rear flip BUIS. Please don't point out the shoddy reasoning for getting a cheap BUIS for a cheap red-dot...

The question:
Will the Yankee Hill cowitness with the standard Norc front sight?
Any potentially foreseable elevation/windage issues with this idea?

Thanks a ton. I'll take some pics when she's all done.

P.S. Are all BUIS flip-up by definition? Or is my title redundancy free?

Far as I know the Norc M4geries are to milspec (asside from the fun switch) so most any buis should work.

Some BUIS are rigid and others fold down.

i cowitnessed my Yankee Hill YHM-9680 rear flip BUIS. with my bushnell holo sight on my nork m4 and i dont care what any one says i love it .and it shoots like a house on fire :)

You know that with all this talk going on about this Norinco AR15 and the cool manual that comes with it. Is making it really hard not to buy another AR15!

Hi guys,

I apologize if this is a dumb-sounding question.

(For an eager student, there are no dumb-sounding questions, right?)

I have an AR and I live in the woods, so there's nobody with whom I can discuss this.

When it's deployed, does a rear BUIS sight (like this one) actually look OVER the low-style optics such as the Holosight? And co-witness (if that's the correct verb) with the front sight?

I have a pretty good non-optical sight in the handle of my rifle, but I'd like to remove the handle and mess-around with other options ... all the while still having that BUIS option.

Thanks.
