Flipping Values

I bet if you took those guns to a gun shop I doubt they would give you over $200 for any of them. For you to make a profit that’s where you would have to be

Ya, the plains rifle is not a great plains, all I can find so far on those are that they were 50 and 54 cal, this is a 45 cal for sure. So probably the investarms pre lyman version? Has the exact patch box as the plains rifle from pictures on google.

So that probably brings down the value more.

Yes it would bring the value down. So does condition (regarding all of them). If well used you will be on the bottom end. Or if the bores are pitted. If the bores are pitted then they become a tough sell.

$1000 for all, if you want to flip and not loose your shirt doing so. :)

Don't agree unless they are quite rough. If they are decent, you put any of them at $200.00 and they will be gone in no time. You can't buy anything today for $200.00 if any good. But if you mean for him to pay that so he makes something on them, then yeah.

my comment was in correlation to chasseur's post, not the real value of the guns, which is nearly impossible to determinate without seeing them anyway.

To be honest the profit and time put in to get it in this case just really wouldn t be worth it.They easiest way to sell them would be if you knew of a muzzleloading club close to you and see if anyone there would want them.If in good condition they would make a good entry level gun for some one looking to get into the sport

Anything bought for resale has to be purchased at a wholesale level, so it can be sold at retail, so to speak.
And then there is the advertising, the transfer, the packing and shipping.
The lady might be just as far ahead to consign them to an auction. They're gone, the auction house looks after the advertising, sale and delivery. From what I have seen of auction prices, they are often higher than what one would expect.

This is the way to go for her.

We worked out a deal, she actually said that the number I gave her was what she expected, so she is happy and I can move them along over time.

You can bet the guns will fetch $300, so if you offer her $150-$200 for them per, it might be worth your while?

You'll win on some, might lose or break even on others, but they'll be taking up real estate in the meantime and it could take a while to move them.

Ya, we worked out a deal, a blanket amount for the group and then exactly as you say I will win some and lose some. I did well on the Flintlock already, I have to clean up the New Englander and the A&H is beautiful, may just end up in my collection and be used for hunting :D

Win win deals are the best deals.
