Just wondering if anyone has experienced both units as I would like to hear your feedback. The AMP looks like a really nice unit but my understanding is that if a person has issues with it then it has to be sent to New Zealand for repair (could take a long time and get expensive). I am also looking at the Fluxeon unit combined with the Giraud auto feed and would be interested to hear feedback on this combo. Thanks for your time.

Cheers,

I have the Annie annealer, but the manually-fed version. Doug Giraud does not ship the automated version of the feeder for the Annie annealer due to ITAR restrictions on automated ammunition reloading equipment. I have heard of several in Canada, which came from channels other than Giraud.

The AMP is manually fed, so a better comparison may be between the Annie (manually fed) and the AMP.

My Annie is great - one minor problem was rectified within a week by the company after I shipped the unit back to California. The unit is reliable, consistent and dead-simple to operate. You do have to experiment with your own settings (ie. annealing time and which flux-core to use if you're using the Litz cores), but once established, I just look up the settings on a chart I made and set the annealing time, change cores (30 seconds) if required and boom, I'm annealing, with no open flames to mess around with!
