You know it really is very fun to shoot small caliber center fire rifles at gophers from a bench in a nice overgrazed pasture with targets in every direction. I was fortunate enough to get 27 in a row over 100 yards with my sweet shooting CZ walnut varmint on Tuesday. Beautiful piece of Rolling prairie south of Rimbey. My fourth such trip to the same field with my buddy and his 20 Extreme..... What a wonderful day we had together....FS

Now is the last kick at the can so to speak. They will be hibernating soon so get them while you can. It always amazes me how early they go under. Sept 1st is waterfowl opener and I see very few around by then.

I have one of .... wait.... I got two of them but sadly no gophers around here. Well now that's not entirely true I have a couple of AR400 steel gophers from Wild Side Steel Targets that are pretty fun to shoot. They don't fly in the air spraying parts when hit like the real thing but fun none the less. Oh, I like those CZ's too. Thinking I might have to get one of them someday soon. I really like that set trigger
