I have twenty rounds of 3030 that is FMJ? PCMR issue?

I have recently read that the 30/30 FMJ was also used in Alaska for whaling. Neat stuff.

Is it full metal jacket, or is it a covered hollow point. CIL made a .30-30 bullet that had a slight dimple in the nose, and it was an expanding hollow point bullet.

Solid bullet, rounded tip. I have an example of the Cil hollow point as well.

I had one of those one time it came in a box of mixed ammo i think it said dc on the head stamp.. only shell i ever shot that hang fired for a split secon really wierd.

It was called the "Pneumatic" IIRC. A friend whose grandfather farmed/settled the Cypress Hills area had a 1923 made, 30-30 1894 Winchester rifle.
This old dimpled ammo came with it.

"...PCMR issue?..." Any military unit that was issued a .30-30 during W.W. I or II. Possibly the RCMP, at the time, too.

PCMR Ammo

Most of the PCMR ammunition I have seen was made by Remington. Bullet was a 160 gr. RN FMJ.Brown cardboard 20 round box, red printing.
