Check out the new CSSA new letter or their website. I just read their news letter and their was an article about the U.S not renewing the export permits on some calibers of ammuntion, such as 223 Rem, 308 winchester. Hope that helps with all the panic and confusion

Methinks someone is trying to justify high ammo prices or unload all that extra stock on hand...

Oh, please. Do tell where this extra stock is.:D

The shelves at any store I go to are almost bare. They might have one type of .223 or one type of "00" buckshot. But there is never any type of variety.

I haven't been able to find .357 Sig in a month, or more. (50 round boxes) - There's no way in hell I'm paying $20 for 20 rounds of JHP stuff.

I finally found some cases of Czech 7.62 at WSS in Calgary @ $199/case the other day.

Ya, I don't know whats going on. And the best part is when you ask someone when some other stuff is coming in, the "go-to" answer is always "we don't know".

Gotta love Kanuckistan.

ugh.. not the sort of social re-engineering rumor I needed to hear today as I ponder the purchase of a new hunting rifle...

But, a bad day on the CGN boards sure beats a good day at the office!

It's all an evil plot by Norinco to take over the Canadian firearms market. First cheap guns and then cheap bullets, those sneaky Chinese types.......

Actually that is the plan....
And exactly why all the electronics manufacturers are in Japan now and not USA.

That could be the original source . I heard all loaded ammo but heard nothing of components . Also heard that if or when it happens police departments will have to get a special import permit to bring in fmj practise ammo but none for civilian sales . I haven't read the CSSA newsletter but it could have started with that and more was read into it than is really there . Don't know , that's why i asked here .

Controls on .223 and .308 is proof of a GC agenda in my book. Is it true? Or is it a temp thing for war effort? (which is another way of saying 'gun control' but still...)

Hello europe. Bring it on over by the ship load.

That would be one stupid move on their part. Export $$$ is good for an economy... especially an ailing one.

thats what i was thinking you would think they would want healthy export....
