FMK 9 mm

I had one. Sold it without shooting it because I found a P226 right after I bought it.

As such, I can't really give a complete opinion of it since I didn't shoot it, but it was not particularly impressive. I know it's not really fair to compare it to a pistol that has double, or triple, the pricetag, but that's how it goes.

There were some first world issues like how the guide rod and recoil spring would fall out when you removed the slide, and it happened almost every time. I'm used to more expensive guns where parts stay in place until intentionally removed.

Also mine at least came with various bits of plastic debris scattered throughout.

Trigger pull was less than impressive, but again I'm comparing it to my other handguns like a Walther PPQ which is more or less a luxury pistol.

If you can find one for an excellent price, maybe $350 or so, go for it if it floats your boat, but if you'd be paying something like $475 or whatever the retail price is I would say you'd be better served looking around for something like a used Glock.

Here is another mini-review:

You can search older posts as there were a few reviews done on these pistols. I think their Canadian price point is killing them. They list for high $400's so compare that to (if you can find them) a Ruger SR9's go for that. Also the M&P are only $100 more. That and they are a relatively new company without a large support network for parts/mags etc.

size wise they are between a glock 19 and glock 26. Compared to other non prohibited compact pistols like rebarrelled compact glocks, boberg, hk P7, the FMK is a lot cheaper.

After running a couple hundred rounds through mine it ran fine with any factory ammo, federally primed reloads. I had light hammer stricks with CCI primers. I am of the understanding that the striker is polmer not steel.

The trigger pull was not great, but not terrible. Gen 4 glocks would be worse. I did not like the sight picture at all, the front sight almost completely fills the rear. My gun would group around 5 inches at 20 yards.

So to recap if you do not have a prohibited license it is the cheapest compact 9mm semi auto available in Canada.

I got one in January, but didn't get to use it till May. Had no issues with the first 500 rounds. Trigger is not the greatest. Third time out, my trigger pin slowly inches its way out. Does it every time now. Fifth time out, it wouldn't rack properly. I would pull it back, and it would get caught on something. I also had two FTF this trip. At this point, I contacted them via email for warranty repair. They asked for my contact info so they could issue me an RMA. That was three weeks ago, and have yet to hear from them. I have had it out twice more since, and FTF are becoming more and more frequent.
I cleaned and oiled after each range trip. It has been maintained and cared for. I couldn't find additional magazines for it in May. It is currently retired to the safe until I can have it checked out.

I bought one in Feb. I've got a few hundred rounds through, 5-600 or so, I've been out a bit more with it lately and I have to say, I like mine. Yup the trigger is how shall I say, a bit gritty, but to be honest I like this one better than the HK P30L I had. Is it a tack driver, nope, but it puts em where I point it, I've got more accurate pistols, but I like shooting this one. Took it out to a three gun yesterday and it ran flawlessly, triples were fine. As well, the trigger seems to be smoothing out.
