Wanstal's made me an offer I could not refuse for one of these. I already have one, but at $299 I couldn't say no.

The FMK is an American made clone of the Glock 19. Parts are not interchangeable, but they are similar. I much prefer the feel of this gun in the hand than a Glock. It is very comfortable, much the way a M&P 9 feels more comfortable.

A unique and neat feature is the way the sights adjust. They don't move. Instead the gun comes with three front sights (low, medium and high) and 5 rear sights (center and 2 choices of left and right). Out of the box, it shot POA elevation and about 3 inches left. I changed to the low front sight, so I can use a 6 o'clock hold on a bullseye, and one notch right to center the group.

I shot it tonight with 5 different loads, ranging from very mild (3.0gr TiteGroup, 135gr LRN) to max (5.6gr Blue Dot 147gr Plated). It shot best with 3.6gr TG, as do most of my other 9mm pistols.

The trigger has a mushy take up and then stops before a fairly crisp break.

This is my second Gen2 FMK. The quality of this one is a bit better. The first has light strikes and only shoots 100% with federal primers. The trigger feels a bit better, too.

I will invite my daughter to shoot it. If she likes it, its hers. She tried my favourite pistol a M&P40 and shot it very, very well. This is my attempt to divert her attention.

If she does not bite, I will change the frame colour.
