FN 1903/ Husqvarna 1907 stuck slide

As I suspected it was the extractor pivot pin protruding through the slide and hanging up on the cartridge guide.
A previous owner probably substituted a slightly longer pin for the original.
I had to put it in a vise and apply pressure slowly. After getting the slide off, I pushed the offending pin out and stoned it to proper length and cleaned up the scored underside of the slide.
It now functions as it should, although sometimes the sear doesn't engage when racking the slide by hand. A sticking sear maybe?
Thanks for all the help and insight. KD

Glad you got it. What a project. Wonder what else the former owner may have done. I can imagine a couple of things about the sear, but given my track record on your original problem, I think it's best to have a look before making suggestions. Having written that, my first idea is to look at the sear/hammer engagement to see if it's worn. Taking those things apart isn't so bad, but putting them back together can be another project. Good luck with it.
