I have one of of these, and searched up this one, and was pretty amazed at what it sold for. I read the fine print and realized mine has a serial number only 6 away.

Mine is not as nice, but I still should be able to get a good dollar.

You both got that right.


Unless it's a Colt Python, or one of the very few other exceptions. Let's face it, it's basically the only restricted that brings nearly as much here (and sometimes even more given same condition...) as in the US.

Since our currency is so weak, and even if it was at par, exporting true collectible firearms even though time consuming and costly, is worth it IMO. If I had some nice collectibles and if I was thinking about selling at the present time, it wouldn't be up here.

I sold this one a few months back. I made some return on my investment, and got to play with an oddity. Interestingly, the fellow who bought it tracked me down, wanted to know if the gun that I had at a show 2 years earlier was still for sale. And I thought all those times, taking it to gunshows, had been an utter waste.

BTW, moved on, latest toy is a Browning Hi Power, 1970's production with the red grips (inner color). My son's gun, but as long as he is still living at home, I be shooting it.
