In this period of COVID-19, I have plenty of time to visit my safe...

Quite a reasonable shooter but not a true collector’s item, except for the fact that it bears an Israeli marking.
Subject proof stamp is “often incorrectly interpreted as the Star of David”.

Like other thousands of specimens sold as surplus, this one shows much wear “due to long and hard service life”.

According to author Anthony Vanderlinden, in FN Browning Pistols, more than 90 percent of subject pistols were never marked by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) or Israeli law-enforcement.

This one is, on right side of frame, above trigger.

For your appreciation, fellow shooters and collectors.

......."except for the fact that it bears an Israeli marking."

Really? You actually posted that?

Says the guy who posted the following in response to another member asking about the characteristics of a specific colt pistol;

I saw & handled all the Colt 1911’s at the Colt booth at the 2020 Shot Show in Las Vegas.

The OP is providing info on the gun he's posted, which is more than can be said for you in almost any thread you post in.

I have an Israeli twin to this gun, complete with the star. Mine shows even more usage, but runs like a top. Israel definately got a long service life out of them. And thankfully a coutry that surpluses some things.
