In this period of COVID-19, I have plenty of time to visit my safe ...

Here is an interesting evolution of Model 1922
The 100-series pistols were developed in the 1970's mainly to fulfill Dutch military and law enforcement requirements
They seldom appear in any period factory catalogs
The majority are found in Europe, mostly in Netherlands
I was lucky I could acquire this specimen

This Model 125 is a modernized version of the Model 1922 with similar frame and slide dimensions

Here are a few characteristics

- Raised sights with adjustable rear sight
- One piece slide with wider barrel bushing for easier take-down
- Cocked indicator on back
- Wider grip safety
- Standard Model 1922 sized grips
- Accepts Model 1922 magazines
- Introduced circa 1975, available until 1983
- Available in either 7,65mm or 9mmShort (.380acp) caliber

This very specimen is dated 1979, according to the first two digits of its serial number
The serial number appears on the right side of slide, on the barrel and on the front strap
A serial number marked on front strap is typical of military or police property

The pistol is in a great shape, it appears it may never have been fired yet
The magazine is stamped 7,65 but it also loads .380 ammo, like all postwar FN mags

Subject FN 1922 or FN 125 can be reclassified from Prohibited 12(6) to a Restricted status though a barrel change.
Last picture shows a new postwar factory 9mmS/.380 barrel inserted in slide...

For your appreciation, fellow collectors
