FN FAL C1A1 muzzle flash thread ?

Hi All,

I have been lurking on the internet to search a answer to this,but i cant get a precise one !?!?

Some say M14 x 1 LH Or other say it's M14 x 1 RH and finally 9/16 x 24 !!!!????

I have one here,im trying to identify it's thread pattern,i tried it on M14 x 1 LH and it dont work,so maybe M14 x 1 RH ? since the C1A1 must be metric right ?

Any help would be nice !

I don't know the thread size, but the C1A1 was an inch pattern FAL, being adopted fully 20 years before Canada offically took up the metric system.

The thread pitch for the muzzle of the FN C1A1 is 9/16 x 24 RH.
It is a member of the Inch Pattern FN FAL family.
