hello all, Are FN FAL avaliable for purchase, if so how reliably avaliable are they, how much would you expect to pay.

Wrong place to post, also are you Grandfathered 12(5)? Otherwise no FN/FAL for you, unless you get a deactivated one.

I wouldn't say this is the wrong place to post. The FAL is a battle rifle.

Unless you have your 12-5 prohibited licence it won't matter how much they cost, caue you're not getting one. That said, depending on the condition and country of origin, they can go from $250 to $1500

This one will be for sale shortly, as soon a I figure out some info about it and what it may be worth. I think it's an Isapore(sp). Anybody want to help?

Dude. Tell me thats not rust on the left bipod foot.

i appauligize for posting in wrong spot again my bad:kickInTheNuts: My father swares by the FN Fal says its the ar he used in 30yrs of service in canada

LFOD and Speckfire, you're both right.
The rust is no longer there - the photo is a couple of years old.
That particular gun spent a decade rolled up in a throw rug on a bare, damp, concrete basement floor with about a dozen other guns. Unbelievably, the only gun that was toast was a P17 that became a mass of rust. The sacrifical foot on the FAL was the only other damage.
There is a God after all.

your dad is specifically talking about the FN C1A1 , many of us swear by it too ..... IIRC , the older FN FAL was in service over 80 countries , some still in service today, 11 countries produced many variations , divided into two catagory "inch" and " metric" . canada was the first to produce the inch pattern version FN C1 in 1956 , since it was replace by the C7 (M16) in 1986 , most has been destroyed  so yeah, they are pretty rare ..... heres a pic from kevin adams library. aint she a beaut?

I remember the old days of the C1 , C2 . The CF 'issue' ones for sale here and there are of the 8 'lima' series and were bought, I believe, for and by the OPP and these are the ones you will find for sale, rarely.

I remember in our armoury seeing FN C1 , C2 stamped from the 1950's to the 1960's.......Thinking they were antiques:p

My alltime fav was the Para model...Only seen one so far in real & it was in the US :(

I had one pointed at me in the Quito Airport back in 84, I didn't really like it at that moment. Also amusing, was to see another belligerent soldier being an ####### and "toughguy" with his magazine plate on backwards.
