No, Becuase 12-6 is classed as 105mm and less pistols. Ive seen some short barrel FN rifles but they were longer then 4.15"

Most Israeli FALs are registered as 12(3). I can't speculate why your's is not.

I have seen Belgian FN Match FALs which left the factory as semi-auto only. Those should be 12(5), but they are also probably the spendiest FAL on the market.

Damnit Rifledude that's beautiful . I hate you in a good way ;) If you ever want to part with it let me know. I have 12-5

Keep your eyes peeled

this country is FULL of INCORRECTLY REGISTERED FNs and G-3 and probably any other 'prohib' you care to think of.

If you really want one simply put up an add in EE for 12(whatever) class guns.

I missed a G-3 years ago because it was reg. as 12(5)
There are LOTS of Israeli FNs registered as 12(5) as well.

So that raises an interesting question. I have 12(5) on my PAL (and an Ishapore 1A1 chained to the gun room wall). Now if I was to buy what I thought was another 12(5) gun, but it turned out to be a converted auto (which is 12(3) class), where does that leave me? I thought I was doing it right, I trusted the CFC, and their registry (This is just a scenario guys. Don't ream me out for actually trusting them), and then later I find out I have the wrong gun for my ticket. Do I lose EVERYTHING I own? Just lose the one gun outright? Any chance of a buyback/rebate, as it was CFC's fault?
I think I know the answer, but lets hear you guys comment.
NAFC,P

I TRIED to get the G-3 registered properly (12(3) so I could buy it)

The CFC said "go away....we dont make mistakes....the gun will stay in the class we have it registered in..."

Therefore....if its reg. in the class you have....buy it...and stay mum...."they" dont mistakes

I would think that they would just sieze the incorrectly registered gun. (If they admitted their mistake which doesn't sound likely), but I wouldn't put anything past them. It also depends on which province you live and who is doing the siezing. For example if the RCMP was sent to pick up the gun in Alberta they would probably just take that one, and say sorry to boot, but if the OPP went for the pick up they would send the tac squad and sieze everything. The SQ would take everything and any ### toys as well, and N-WEST would entirely dismantle your house and would sieze every piece of paper in the place.

I had the exact problem your asking..I bought a Uzi Model A..that was registered as a CA...when I got the paperwork on it ..it said Commercial version..I called CFC right away......they said it was their fault and that I could keep the Uzi..but not buy any other firearms in the 12.4 class..i still have the said Uzi.......CFC sucked up the problem...

CFC sucked it up? WOW!!!!
In my post about, I ended with the letters NAFC,P
That was my guess as to what might happen. It stands for....

Navy: the ishapore FN is 12(5), and as far as I know, 12(5)'s can't be shot in lieberal Canada. No SAP's(special authority to possess)(that's an ATT for really NASTY guns) are being allowed. You can clean and stroke your belgian in your home. cheers?
