Yup, just not the armour piercing stuff. Thought about buying one myself, but the $1400 price tag kind of made me shy away.

The ammo cost is a kick in the nuts, once you're lucky enough to find someone who can kick you, that is. That alone is enough to keep me from wanting one. The gun itself, I don't think is unreasonably priced, but still higher than most.

Yeah, ammo is scarce & a rip-off up here.
Saw factory ammo for it at the big Bass Pro shop in Las Vegas NV last year for $21 for a 50 round box.

I would recommend the S.A. version. The gun and ammo are expensive, but its an awesome spear-chucker/flame-thrower and has very little recoil. My sister prefered shooting the 5-7 over the Glock 17. You don't see many on the EE, so I don't think the 5-7 is one that would disapoint, IMO. I'm with S.D. - highly recommend.

I would love to have the PS90/FN5.7 combo. That would be too cool. Imagine doing a 3 gun match with them.
ive been having trouble locating ammo for it as well....that price mentioned at 21 bucks / 50 is a great deal, you will pay roughtly 21 bucks for a box of .40 cal at lebarons....i guess its not worth having a nice gun when ammo is scarce...takes quite a bit of rounds to get used to a gun...im used to 200-300 round outings...cant see anybody that has that ammo right now, so i guess so much for that gun, its like having a .50 desert eagle, its a conversation starter, thats it!

I hear there are a few legal ones in Canada. An ex CGN'er tried to bring a bunch in but failed (bad - read illegal - paperwork apparently). I would expect the legal ones to bring a premium price. If I had the spare money I would get one, or at least try and buy one from the guys that own them.

Looks like you might be right. A 40grain bullet traveling at 2034fps has a power factor of 82. Oh well, I guy can dream right?

The round is designed for armored targets and to be used in a compact delivery system, according to the guys from FN I talked to. I was on-site during HRMPD's live fire testing of the guns (Five Seven too) in both semi and full auto modes. HRMPD chose to buy the Semi versions and they have P90s in all thier supervisor cars here in town. The whole force is trained on thier use to 75 yards. Their plan is to maintain a situation until ERT arrives. HRMPD trains at my club; they've been nice enough to offer for many of my members a chance to try out the P90.
