FN FiveSeven

The biggest problem with the 5.7 is getting the ammo
For what I've seen in the US, only FN made ammo seem to be available, I've seen 2 types, including 1 that is AP (forget about it in Canada) and some ball ammo.

Even down here, it is expensive. I wouldn't consider it for day to day shooting

MD Charlton lists the pistol, I don't know if they sell them to civillians, but they've stocked them since before the FiveSeven had an FRT number. They may be required to have an end-user before they can sell them.

So far we have had 2 export licenses denied for ths pistol as the State Dept lists it as an LE only pistol.

That 5.7x28 round ain't much good for anything other than its intended purpose though...

Had a guy on my squad at a combat match shooting a P90...
Couldn't knock down any steel. I assume although fast, the bullet is too light.

it was a P90 or PS90???

As per the P90, people aren't made of steel and 50 bullets can have some serious effect.

But as for us we don't shoot people in Canada, so for target shooting these should be fine.

i have shoot PS-90.the 5.7 can penetrate two 3" phonebook attech together .each phonebook around 3" .total is around 6"
on 75 Meter.all go thought and stop inside in third phonebook.( i put 4 phonebook together.)
also i don't think ( people ) stronger than phonebook.

steel is steel. Human is a human. even .22 can kill people.
But we don't shoot people in Canada.

Penetration doesn't equal incapacitation, most reports from the real world suggest that you're better off with something else as a fighting firearm, for the range however they'd be fun! I certainly wouldn't hunt anything that bleeds with that calibre in any firearm.
