So a buddy dropped one off for me to look over, it’s his grandfathers old single shot. Dripping with character, hasn’t been shot in decades but the bore looks great.
I’d like to give it a clean and lube and shoot it but I can’t figure out how to remove the bolt, it’s a bit gummy and need a clean. Can anyone tell me how it is removed? I’ve tried holding the trigger down and pulling back on it, can’t seem to find an latch or button to facilitate removal. It opens, cocks, rotates to safe and the firing pin will drop (no I’m not dry firing it.) and it seems to function fine but it needs a clean and oil.
Can’t find much info on the model to be honest, nothing on YouTube either. It has zero marking’s other than the FN Herstal Armes de Guerre one the barrel, one page I did manage to find said it’s chambered in .22long. Which I have a box of, any help would be appreciated.
