Those were the high point of Belgian Brownings. Marked Montreal for S&G. Not original grips. The external extractor works well! The tall front sight is easy to acquire. Those are factory rear sights. Be very careful that the little conehead screws will jump off and hide in the sand the first chance they get.

Between $600 and $800.

thanks. I saw a blued version of the same year go for 2500 usd on gunbroker. would the drop in value be due to condition?

Looks like those are Uncle Mike's grips. Super cheap back in the day, now very $$$ as it is discontinued. I would replace with Navidrex grips, as those rubber Uncle Mike's grips are kind of chunky

There never were many 9mm commercial Brownings in Canada versus surplus Inglis pistols. But, within some circles the steel 9s have an attraction as a very niche gun. Going back 35-40 yrs there were no polymer Wonder Nines, or 18 varieties of M1911. The choices were a narrow range of S&W 9s, maybe a CZ, some clone High Powers from Hungary, and whatever milsurp guns were resold at the gun shops. The Brownings were invariably pricier as a way of holding value.

I understand what you are saying. Im wondering why the value of mine you said was 6-8 cadwhen the same exact gun but blued went for 25 usd? im just trying to gauge if I got a good deal or not and resale value

This isnt 2007. That's less than a Chinese clone is going for.

That being said the gun does require a specific buyer, but $1000-$1500 at least would be good starting point

Having some experience with these and essentially the whole Hi-Power gamut, I would say $900 would be a steal and $1700 would be towards the limit what an over-enthusiastic buyer would be willing to spend, and then I would subtract a little for the grips and the trigger finish. This is based on what I have seen over the last 2-3 years here in Troodeauvia.
