I converted the first Swiss Arms Carbine to non-res, buy contracting Herron Arms to design and build an 18.6” barrel WITH an integrated flash suppressor. Barrel length was measured from bolt face on a closed bolt, to the end of the muzzle.
You need a new barrel, what you're talking about only works with US laws. If you want to swap the barrel it's a very difficult task, contact Dlask Arms
