Sure, then if I take a long stick and press on the trigger, this may be considered a bullpup as well, since I press on the front end of the stick , which is more to the front compared to the mag?

Yes that pretty well sums it up as far as bullpup conversion stocks go

Here is the prohibited device order regarding bullpup stocks

2. Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the type known as the “bull-pup” design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position.

Keeping in mind that trigger is by definition the part of the firearm that when pressed by the operator of the firearm causes the mechanism to fire.

So there is no interpretation here, conversion stocks are prohib.

Well, someone told me that I will break my brain trying to understand why Bullpups are prohibited here... even the length is still long enough to confirm to the law...
 
So if I make a whole where the old trigger is and remove the forward trigger.... then it's clearly not a bullpup by any means and it will be as long as ATI foldable stock ruger mod. Of course, I won't do it, but just theoretically.

Yes, if you remove the stock of a 10/22 and fire it it is legal. Assuming it is over 26".

So if you made a p90 stock and left the trigger at the back of the rifle, it would be legal...

Or you could buy a bullpup.
 
I am still trying to understand why such a hate to BullPups from the Crown ?
Was it a mass kill with this gun?
As far as I know, it doesn't provide clear advantages over non-bullpups if used with Ruger.
Changing mags may be slower.
It is more mechanically demanding and cleaning it is a pain...
It is not about the length since it has comparable length with ATI foldable stock.

Let's say you have an actual army gun in BullPup and not in BullPup.... actually, BullPups may provide some advantage in CQB, but in distances over 25-50 feet it is quite disadvantageous since the accuracy is lower, changing mags may be a pain, if it fails it will take some time to disassemble, while it takes 1 minute to disassemble and assemble back the SKS.

Why do I need a bullpup after listing all these disadvantages?
Just because of the look of it, I guess

Non restricted but everyone freaked out and sold them over seas when Cambell introduced the bull pup stock ban
 
Well, the price difference is substantial Ruger 10/22 vs T97, besides T97 cartridges are much more expensive, but it's one of the rare legal bullpups in Canada.
Does anyone knows how NFA addresses this unreasonable ban on all bullpup stock modifications?
 
What if the mag was single stack?, there's still lots of room on top of the gun so it would have a decent capacity. The tough part would be the part that spins the bullets but I can't imagine it being to difficult to design as the bullets would enter at an angle already. If the part that spins the bullets is integral to the gun the mags would also be relatively easy to produce.

If anyone remembers the old Calico M100, which unfortunately is prohibited, but could do a helical feed system similar which does work for the rim fire cartridge. Would love a .410 and 12 guage version
 
That's a great idea! If it ejects downwards and is ambidextrous EVERYONE will want one. I think it should look like the desert tech mdr. The full rail and the different options for the forestock would be amazing.
