Since you're already going to cause me to get a divorce by supplying so many impossible to pass up deals on unique interesting firearms... Why not finish off my and probably others marriages by making these available! :)

Thanks!

Yeah, but it's going to have to be called "Joy-happy-peace-.22RF-friendship-rifle" for the RCMP to even consider allowing it in after the 97 debacle.

Okay, a little poking around and I came up with this...

Basically a :
Ruger 10-22 receiver/18.5" SS tapered barrel. Volqartzen triggergroup/hammer+spring/exctractor.
TM P90 shell
Hurricane Rubber P90 stock extension.
REAL FN Tritium Ring Sight with REM Modification.
NITRO Metal front receiver, milled to tight fit 18.5" SS tapered barrel.
TM fake P90 Mag.
REAL Phantom Comp/Flashhider.

Non restricted, prolly fairly cheap and fun... all you guys have to do is source and stock the parts and sell em as a kit! :) You'll be rich, we'll be thrilled! :) yay! lol

Prohibited

To be a bullpup and no prohibited, it can't just be a rifle set into a fancy stock.

This Ruger 10-22 is just a dressed-up

CanAm's right... I should have thought of that.. Can you source the real thing? Then worry about the conversion later?

You could design a new gun using the basic form of the P90, using a 10/22 barrel and bolt, you need a new reciever and if I recall correctly the gun must not be able to fire without the stock to avoid the bullpup prohib status.

Just thinking out loud here but I believe this would work to create a legal Bullpup in 22lr, 22mag or 17 hmr...wouldn't be a Ps90 clone but it would be pretty freakin cool.

You need an 80% 10/22 receiver first. Then you have to create a lower/stock that incorporates a trigger group such that when it is removed you can't fire the rifle. I believe it would be important not to use a factory spec 10/22 trigger group (hence the 80% receiver) so that the CFC Techs (when you send it in for review and to get it registered) could not use pre-existing 10/22 parts to make it fire with the stock removed. You also have to be careful how you have your smith drill the holes for the new trigger group so that it did not match any existing 10/22 receivers. It's probably important not to call it a 10/22 when you have it registered as well.

Basically the bullpup stock and trigger group would have to be custom. The 80% receiver would then have to be modified to suit the new stock and trigger group. That way it would fit the bullpup definition so that it could not be fired with the stock removed (the stock would in essence become part of the action).

It would be a custom job that would probably cost you more than a new tavor. Using the 80% 10/22 receiver allows you to use existing mags, barrels, bolts etc.....and saves a lot of design and production costs.

Sounds reasonable right? But who knows what would happen when you send it to the Techs?:mad:

I wonder if any bolt actions or any other rifle that can chamber the 5.7 may come out in the future. Would appeal more to me than a P90 clone.
