I have been thinking about getting one of these ever since handling one in Gander Mountain in the States. I have a "small" stockpile of 5.7x28 ammo on the go.

My question is, is there such a thing as a 22LR kit for this rifle. I have asked around and had no luck finding out.

Anyone have any info or leads.

Thanks

No there isn't, not yet anyway. If one does get made then the news will be sung from the rafters all over the 'net. So many people want a .22lr kit for their PS90's it's not funny.

Yay. A $2,000 range-only .22 LR is exactly what I want. If someone wants to make it worthwhile, convert it to .22 Magnum. Big bang, big mag, would be worth it then!

You can get the PS90 reclassified to non-restricted. If they could make a 50rd .22lr mag it would be lots of fun.
Perhaps, but they already have something like that which is 1/10th the cost. It's called a Ruger 10/22.

With a .22 Magnum conversion you have a cartridge that is closer to the overall length of the 5.7 mm (6 mm difference in OAL) and is even close to the ballistics of the 5.7 mm (30 gr @ 2,200 fps vs. 31 gr @ 2,350 fps). And you would still be able to have a high capacity mag.

Don't know how you would have a normal capacity 50 round magazine for it in 22LR. Since the gun is designed so specifically to use the type of magazine it has, it would be tricky to make something that looks different (so they can't say it has been adapted), and still work. With the AR mags (both 223 and 9mm) since they sit outside of the gun mostly, you could make them shaped like a triangle outside the magwell so they look completely different, but the way the P90 mag is, not sure if a different shaped mag could function in it.

Take your stockpile of ammo, and shoot it - it's not that difficult to reload - don't tumble the brass, clean it in a solution of simple green and water - rinse and dry, then your good to go after a quick turn on the case trimmer... I just cooked up a batch of 100 rounds and it cost me under 30 bucks...

This thread is not debating why I want one, feel free to start a new thread if you like.

I have a 10/22, but I have unique taste and like to have rare/unique stuff.
