I've been interested in one for ages and I'm thinking this christmas I'll treat myself. There is but one problem, I've never actually handled one. So, I'm calling out to all the generous CGNutz in the Calgary area. Is there anyone who is willing to let me fondle their Belgian beauty? Just for a few minutes.

i played with and, shot one and while it handled great i was kinda disappointed by it, kinda a lunch bag let down scenario no different the firing a 22 IMHO not worth the price and cost of ammo

I have two (a restricted and a non-restricted). They are a ton of fun and everyone who has shot mine have been impressed. Don't buy them if you don't like getting a lot of attention at the range. Not cheap or cheap to shoot though if that's an issue. If you are ever in Edmonton PM me and we could meet at the range an you could try mine out.

I have one of the standard ones that's restricted. I just found some ammo for it. Looking forward to shooting. I also want a non restricted some day.

It's a really cool firearm. The trigger is typical bullpup mushy but still it breaks clean. I love the take down on it and the overall handiness.

jwc, thanks for the offer, it's much appreciated. If I make my way to Edmonchuck I'll be sure to give you a heads up.

epoxy, let us know what you think of your FN after you've flogged her at the range.

You know what fellas, I'm probably going to wind up buying one sight unseen. For what they sell for nowadays I could always sell it for nearly what I paid for it. Or, wait for the US dollar to strengthen and turn a small profit,,, maybe. Or, mount it on my wall and say, "DAMN that's cool!".

I am not a black rifle expert, so the first time I handled a bull pup it was a real shocker.

It was the coolest looking Tavor your could ask for; just the ticket for killing feral zombies or fiendish bum-headed aliens on Star Trek. The minute I saw it I thought '$4000 price tags be damned - I want one!!!'

I almost cried when I shot it. The trigger was worse than the one on a pneumatic Stanley nail gun. Sure, you might be able to pot zombies and Bum Heads with it at close range...but coyotes and gophers would be a real challenge.

I have heard all bull pups are like that. Surely somebody can tune those things? Bullpups are just too darn cool and handy to have triggers that pull like chit!!! For the kind of money they ask for these guns, don't we deserve it?

I had my P90 and my Tavor up at the range today together.

P90 trigger is by far the best of the bulpups on the market. Squishy (Normal for a bulpup), but consistant. 3" groups no problem with an Eotech.

The Tavor trigger is overly heavy, to the point where it is difficult to get a clean break because you have to pull so hard. I also find that it is not a very consistant trigger, meaning it is gritty and seems to break a little different every time. Not much different, but enough that it is hard to get accurate groupings.

Just my .02.
