FN PS90's

OMG it's here! lol ...and I still haven't sourced out ammo yet!

It's beautiful and ugly at the same time...and it's heavier than I expected.

Just for size comparisons... here it is up against a 7.5" AR

sandwiched between a 7.5" and a 14" AR

My 1st gripe... the EoTech I have on it doesn't allow me to use any of the other 2 side rails...

Finish on the charging handle/barrel support group isn't the best...the casting(?) is crappy

but it's beautiful. and i love it. and it is mine.

Dammit I want one, why are expensive things so expensive? Although, If I do finally get enough cash for a black rifle I might go with a Tavor, Non-restricted+abundance of ammo=more fun... But not as cool looking.

I handled one at CRAFM , they have the one in black but ammo is my concern !! Id have to buy an FN pistol to get ammo and then resell the dam pistol . But it is definitly on my wishlist .

If it were non restricted and ammo was easily available, I would go for one in a heartbeat. I've always loved the FN P90 design. Lets face it I would have gone for one even in restricted if ammo wasn't so scarce. A very cool carbine. I'm still on the fence about trying for the next lot .

Congratulations to you guys who own one of these. That's a very nice carbine.

Well, you did fall off the planet.

I did fall off the planet and when I was crawling back I stumbled into an alien who had a massive pile of 5.7x28mm and I took it, so in a way I saved canada with the 5.7x28 crisis and crushed the evil alien who planned on destroying us.
Ya.................... I am kind of a hero!!:dancingbanana: :p

By the way nice rifle ANARK!!!!!!!

lol the Tavor is next >_< ... i couldn't say no as I knew the rarity of these things....

I ordered the Tavor two days before these went up for sale. I was a bit choked when I saw these. Fortunately they were all sold before I even had the chance to go broke. :D

I have the option to buy a PS90 with 4 - 50 round mags for less than $1300.00.
The problem: I'm just not sure what it's purpose would be...
Plinking at the range? Personal protection in the home? Truck gun? Novelty item?

How do you guys utilize your PS90s?

Thanks :)
It's purpose is for you to be the baddest mofo at the range when you whip out your SBR'd PS90. :D

Hey Epoxy did you get billed already for yours? I preordered mine on the website but haven't been billed.

Nope. Not billed yet. I think they only bill once the rifles come in. December is the expected delivery date if I recall correctly. I'll be paying by EMT to get the $100 discount, and put that towards some Swiss Arms PE-90 mags. :D

I was right at the enter credit card details section a couple of nights ago for the next lot of PS90s they're trying to get in. Came that close to "pulling the trigger". I'm still debating it

Now... say you get one... how hard is it to get the SBR barrel? I am assuming that the US DOS will not allow the export of the barrel? So does that mean we need to find a european country that has one for sale and then import it? Any restrictions on the Canadian side for length of barrel when importing? Probably not, as long as it doesn't turn you prohib right? Or is the barrel even looked at?

I don't think it's that they're lax, they just can't make up their minds.

Never have truer words been spoken. They have fads, something is bad one day and okay the next. I phoned up to check if it was okay to export an ACOG, answer yes, the exporter phoned them up to check, answer no, I phoned back, we changed our mind, answer yes but you need a licence (which the exporter got). In the course of three days that happened.

This is why whenever there is a thread on here about US export regulations I always say to phone them to check, get it in writing if you can if it's something they say doesn't require a licence, because it may well require a licence next week.

There's a lot of crap that comes out of the UN arms trafficking division in relation to what is okay and is not okay, plus Congress fiddles with the AECA regulations all the time.

Last I heard all 7.62 NATO and 5.56 NATO is illegal to transport (even your own personal ammo, not stuff you've bought in the US and are bringing back, that's always required a DSP-5) across international borders unless you have import/export licenses, IATA issued an advisory a few months back to airlines. But .223 and .308 is okay.

So if your AR-15 is stamped .223, the State Dept. will grant a licence (probably) but with 5.56 on it they won't (probably). Depending on their mood.

Even ATF hates dealing with the State Dept. from what I've heard.
