Same Ammo, however in all fairness the SCAR had shot about 300 rounds more than the M14 to this point when the video was shot. Both guns were fired semi only. The M14 eventually digested the same amount of rounds, however the M14 never malfunctioned. This particular demo M14 has been to Bragg twice and has over 5000 rounds through it without any parts replacement or repair. No recorded malfunctions.

EDIT: Link fixed.

The TROY is just the Chassis right?? How could someone think a M14 functions better becuase of the chassis??

I do not believe the intention is to say that the TROY chassis make the M14 function better, as the M14 is a very reliable system and with the addition of the chassis it makes it more mission versatile, that being said and done we have all forgotten that life existed prior to the SCAR/SOPMOD/Masada etc & and men carried all these systems into battle & fought and won, I believe that the current weapon systems offer many advantages - but ironically the reactivation of the M 14 would tend to dispel its demise. :50cal:

The rails cost as much as the gun again, if you bought it from Springfield.

But there's no conversion kit for an M14 where you switch a barrel and mags and then can shoot 7.62x39 from it.
