If these rifles are in the system and known by the CFC, then would it be easy to import one from europe? It might cost a bit more, shipping, export permit, and the generaly highter cost of firearms in europe, but it might be cheaper than the 4.5 to 6k prices here. Just a thought. I know that for Switzerland all you need is a ~70 Swiss fr. export permint that is good for one year.
