FN49 8mm Egyptian

Looking for a butt plate for the above described rifle, appears to be brass with a trap door for cleaning gear, anyone have a lead on such an item?

You could always try Numrich. The majority of the parts that they have for the FN49 is for the egyptian 8mm version. Good luck.

If you have one and it's broken, it is possible to get it brazed.

If you have a plastic buttplate on your rifle thats a Century Rebuild and a original buttplate wont fit it.

Numrich didn't have the part, last time I checked.

It is brass not plastic, but the tab on the top that is inletted into the stock is broken off and didn't come with the rifle so I can't have it brazed or soldered.

Hopeing that someone might have a parts gun laying around or a local gun shop/smith might have one they want to sell.

If all else fails I can provide you with photos and measurements. It may be possible to file a flat at the broken section and graft on some new brass.
