just bought one of these but noticed that the slide has no marking of FNH of made in USA.....I bought it brand new ,but from mail order ....could it be an aftermarket slide......thanks

title should have said FNS 9 Longslide

Not sure. My new (3 months ago from Wanstalls) FNS long slide has both "Made in USA" and "FNH USA Fredericksburg VA" on the right hand side of the slide.

I got these pics online (easier than taking pics of mine), but these are the same as the markings on my FN FNS-9LS.

Right side:

Left side:

Note that the contour of the two sides of the slide are different.

These pics show what your slide should look like coming from the factory.

Hope this helps.

thanks guys .....just took a look at it again ...nothing , not a single stamp , no inscription what's soever....I may have to call the dealer ....

I bought it from JoBrooks firearms from Manitoba .....as for extra mags and parts I only foundthat Brownells in the states have extra mag ..but not sure on how to get them in to Cdn..?

From Brownells you should be able to just order them, unless they fall under some bizarre restriction and I couldn't tell you if they do or not. Best way to find out if you can, is to phone,
or just place an order and see if it's blocked. Be sure you only order the 10 round magazines, because they won't ship you anything with a higher capacity!!!
Did you contact JoBrooks and ask about the mystery slide?

FWIW, I notice that Jo-Brooks price is more than $200 less than the normal price competitors are charging for this handgun. I wonder if this is a factor in getting one with no factory markings.

Hi everyone ....just want you all to know that I called FNH USA.....they told me that this is normal to not have any markings ....so I guess it OK to shoot ...cant wait now to get out to the range ....!!!
