FNAR 7.62 rifle

I saw this in the SWAT magazine and I was pretty much in awe. I cleaned one up the other day at the shop...its not field strip friendly.

DECKARD;
No problem bringing that pistol.... Hw many prohibs would we sell ?

John

Well, it is up to you, but somehow many other makes get longer barrels. No, I don't know how. Maybe the factory does it. Maybe it is aftermarket.

That make often has deals for two extra mags free, or bladetech holster and mag holders free. I know they give dealer free guns for stocking their line.

Funny on one end of the spectrum you have FN with all the resources available to it comming out with a hobbled together gun. Then there's Magpul, smaller company, it's first time designing a firearm and it comes out with the Masada is short order which is actually a step forward. Just a terrible effort on FN's part.
FN makes all sorts of innovative firearms. In fact, it's arguably the most innovative small arms manufacturer these days. The gun pictured above is not a new product bur rather a "tactical" version of the BAR, which has been around for decades. If you can sell an old hunting rifle to the mall ninja crowd by adding an accessory rail, pistol grip and camo paint, why not go for it?

Looks like FN has "miltarized" the Browining BAR. Anyone seen or know anything more about this rifle (other than it's quite ugly)?

Take away the pistol grip stock and it would actually look ok...kinda like a more modern m14....

It's all pretty frustrating when what one really wants is an accurate, non-restricted 7.62 semi-auto. Your choices are M1A or M14S (which are both fine) or a black hunting rifle with a canoe paddle for a stock, a ### toy for a pistol grip and picatinny rails for mounting my Faema cappuccino maker.

If SIG would just chamber the 550 in 7.62 my itch would be taken care of...

By black hunting rifle with the canoe paddle stock/### toy pistol grip, etc, are you referring to the above FNAR? Because for non-restricted .308 semis, there's also the Benelli R1, BAR, Remington 750. Winchester makes the SXR, but I don't know if it's offered in .308
